You must first register with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) if you are a foreign nurse or midwife who wants to work in Ireland.

English Language Tests: NMBI accepts IELTS Academic or OET as evidence of English language competency.

GNM / BSc. in Nursing (Male/Female)
Min. 2 years post-registration clinical experience in an acute hospital
OET (Nursing): Grade B in three components & C+ in one component
IELTS Academic: Overall 7.0 with min. 7.0 in any three & 6.5 in one component
NMBI Decision Letter or in process — preferred
